Peep Off 5 just happened, and I didn't tell any of you. blah!! It was a secret
this year, because several ex-presidents were there, and we didnt want a
whole bunch of ya-hoos coming through and screwing up our peep off with any
tomfoolery. Well - Here are the results!
4/9/98 - Staleness
In order to better the quality of life of the peep eating community,
I performed an experiment; I, like many others enjoy peeps stale, (although
not at the exception of liking them fresh) but I am far too impatient
to buy peeps and wait for them to get stale. Well, I'm sure I'm not the
first one to think of using a food dehydrator; I bought one and put it
to good use. Well, I can assure you that my peeps are quite stale.
Perhaps too stale. It gets them far too hard; It's really hard to eat them
now. I probably left them in there too long or something. I was too patient.
Of course, if you feel that your peeps are never quite stale enough,
this could be a worthwhile experiment to you.
3/20/98 - Peep off 4, or the lack thereof
Here it is, nearly "Even worse Saturday" and nary even a "peep" has
been heard about the Fourth Annual Peep Off. Well, you may all think that
it is a novel idea, and all, but I've done it twice (unfortunately, not
three) and I think I've exhausted the fun in that sort of event. None of you
were there for Peep-off II's "Walk of shame" around Shawn's house. None
of you saw Brian Gluckman puke through his NOSE at Peep Off III! And there
is only one man (well, two) who know what it's like to have 62 peeps in
his stomach at one time.
Well, I'm exaggerating a tad. I think it would be a shame to not have a
peep off. I'll see about finding a place where I can have one. I'll
probably not be able to find a location that will suit my nefarious
purposes, But all is not lost!
You
can have your own peep off! I would like it very much if people were to
hold their own peeps-offs. Email ME
and I will post a list of Peep offs with contacts so people can consolidate.
2/18/98 - A horrendous oversight
I really can't believe it; nowhere, on this entire page until just now,
has there been any mention of the goodness of eating stale peeps. Many
times, I am confronted - "It's your fault! My people are belittled because
we eat peeps stale! You need to praise our ways and give our holy war
credence!" Usually, I'll blow them off. I thought it was somewhere in
here, and I meant to check and find out where, but I never did. I guess
I was wrong.
Lots of people eat peeps stale. It kind of makes them a little less painful;
it feels more like you're chewing on something that used to be alive. Makes
the experience more real. They put up more of a fight that way. Makes me
feel like a mighty hunter, a Nimrod, if you will.
What's with that stupid mustache peep?
It amuses me. I really don't don't know why.

Well, It's been over a year since I've updated the "what's new" page.
That's kind of pathetic. I blame this mostly on the fact that I missed
peep off 3 and fell into a deep dark depression. It was a difficult
time for me, but it's over now, and I'm a better person for it. My
sole regret is the unfortunate deaths of my coworkers at the post office.
ON the bright side, I get free internet access here in the institution.
I guess you'll want some results from peep off 3? Well, I guess I'd better get them. The winner is two-time champion Tom Miller. He ate a buttload, more than last year.
The Peep off is over now, and I am finally fixing up the page.
My excuse? I'm Lazy.

The Tee shirts are done, and if you ordered one, you should already have it by now. Only one in five million americans have a marshmallow peep tee shirt, so if you see somebody wearing one, you should feel lucky! Harrass them about it, I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it.
There are two new usenet groups available for your perusing, alt.food.peeps and alt.marshmellow.peeps. Exciting eh? True fame is usenet. I had nothing directly to do with this, but cannot help but feel somewhat responsible.
Last year, some things were new because it was Easter. (Yes, Easter did occur last year.) So here is what used to be new. There's information on last year's peep off here. Like a peek into History.
